Lesson 3 learning objective(s): Students will be able to identify key issues that affect Honduras.
Lesson 3:
- The teacher will create a powerpoint presentation on the key issues that are prevalent in the country of Honduras. During this time, students will take notes on the teacher's lecture. After the lecture, the teacher will give the students a nearpod assessment to see what information the students retained. This summative assessment will be used to let the teacher know what information he or she needs to recover. After the assessment, the students will respond to a writing prompt in their Honduras booklets. The writing prompt asks, " Since 6 out of 10 household in Honduras have less than $2.50 a day, what would you spend your money on if you were a student in Honduras?" The teacher will give them a few minutes to brainstorm and then quietly respond. After they finish their responses, the teacher will recover the information that was frequently missed during the Nearpod exercise.
